as time goes by...
CasablancaCon anyone? Last weekend Liz and I were driving back to Northam and noticed that Casablanca, the property formaerly known as El Caballo Blanco, were advertising function space and rooms for $65 per night. We both thought that despite it being in the middle of nowhere, with no public transport, only a service station next door for junk food, it might make an interesting convention place. Not for a swancon but for a smaller con. Not that Perth needs any more smaller conventions, so don't be holding your breath for RussellCon.

feeling okay this morning...
work good, life okay, bloody cold this morning. On mornings like this I can stand at my lounge windows and watch the mist curl up from the river. Or I can stay in bed where it's warmer and imagine it.

Anyone familiar with the Avon River as it goes through Northam will understand that I have no thing to fear from Deep Ones -- the river has that much sand and silt that in places you could almost walk across it.

And the Shallow Ones hang out at the mall.
